Inside The Orangery

We are seeking initial expressions of interest from artists who would value a period of time in the Orangery to create and/or exhibit work. The artists would also be able to offer a Friday workshop.

​Over the next few years, Arts and Wellbeing organisation All Being Well will be hosting the artist's residency programme on the park. 

All Being Well are in the process of writing a funding bid which will be adapted in accordance with successful applications. ​

Deadline for Residency Proposals: 31st July

The Arboretum Arts Residency Programme is open to all forms of creative activity, particularly those in some way harmonious with the environment or heritage of the park.
​
Residencies with Arboretum Arts typically run for the duration of a month although we are happy to consider longer or shorter periods.

Diana is happy to work in collaboration with artists in the Orangery if, for example, an artist wishes to develop work which has not yet been created or they would like additional support.

Artist's do have the option to take over the space entirely.

About the programme

Resident artist and Artblock founder, Diana Shepherd along with Park Manager Michael McNaught manage the Arboretum Arts Residency Programme.

What is the cost?

There is no charge on either side of the exchange. In return for the use of the Orangery we would discuss ways in which the artists would give back to the community. This could be open studios or specific workshops to the value of half a day per week of residency.
